About Me

Hello everyone! I am a happily married work at home Mom with 2 human children and 7 furry children. We live on a quiet woodsy road in Eastern Massachusetts.

I started quilting in April 2010.  I must confess that I have become very addicted to sewing, quilting, and  fabric! I have created this blog in order to have a place to gather all of my quilting experiences, pictures, and future adventures in fabric that life sends my way. It would also be great to meet some quilt loving friends along the way.  A photo album is nice but a blog is a fun, interactive, and my dog can’t eat it!

I enjoy making quilts  for my family, friends, and charities. I am a member of North Parish Quilters Guild in North Reading, MA. We make quilts for Hole in The Wall Game Camp. I also make baby quilts, crochet blankets, and Lovies for Neighbors Helping Newborns.

I choose SEW Daughter as the name of my blog because S.E.W. are the actual initials of my mom Sylvia. We enjoy quilting, quilt shows, shop hops, and everything else quilty together.

If I won your fablious prizes or you just want to say hi please e-mail me at sewdaughter@aol.com

Hi!! Thanks for coming over to visit my blog (The Quilting Garden)!!! You have a great start on YOUR blog and I hope you enjoy blogging as much as I do!! Good luck in the Hexie Giveaway!! Check back on the 16th!! And how neat that you and your Mom get to quilt together!!! Kris

    • Thank you for your kind words. I have been following quilt blogs for about a year now. I would leave a msg. but I always felt something was missing. Now that I am blogging too I feel like I am creating an identity for myself. I just pulled out my hexi project and worked on it a little bit. But I am also making curtins for the living room. So I will have a lot to blog about in the next few weeks. I think I am picking up the “blog bug” just like I picked up the hexi bug and the quilting bug!

  2. In the comment section of Caroll’s Attic Windows Quilt Shop blog, you mention that you have made a wall hanging using one of my blocks. Terrific. I would love to see it. I would be delighted if you were to email me a picture when you finish quilting it.

    • Yes, I am very excited that I have finished the top and have the fabric to complete it. I have held off on the quilting for a bit because I wanted to get more practice. But now that you have seen my post and comented on it I think I will get cracking and finish it soon! The tessalition that I chose from your blog is from June 10, 2010. I commented on your post that day (Nicole Scotina) and said I was off to the craft store to pick out my fabric. Now almost a year later have made it in Purple. I will be sure to send you a picture and blog about as soon as it is quilted and bound.
